Before the home match against the Hungarian Győr in the second qualifying round of the Conference League, during the pre-match press conference, Pyunik's head coach Yeghishe Melikyan and the team's player Edgar Malakyan spoke about the team's preparadness, the opponent's strong sides, the importance of fans’ support and other topics.

Edgar Malakyan:
"I’m in good shape. I fully participate in trainings, but the coach decides how useful I can be to the team. The atmosphere in the team is very good as always. We have prepared seriously for this match. I think we’re going to see a good game tomorrow, with a positive ending. Győr is a good team, a worthy opponent, but we are a strong team, too and we have all the potential to win with the support of our fans."

Yeghishe Melikyan:
“Győr is a serious opponent, we are very aware of that. We have to work hard and do our best to win.
We have watched the opponent's games, we have analyzed the team's playing style. They play modern, fast football, have well-organized standard shots and strong players. They are a young team and have been playing together for a long time, unlike us. These are their strengths. I don't want to talk about their weaknesses. However, I think we are a more experienced team when it comes to the participation in the European Cup.
We have our advantages, too. We’ll be able to prove ourselves thanks to our fans’ support. I’d like them to support us tomorrow, because I feel that our team gets more excited seeing their support, it gets stronger and the team spirit rises. Thanks to the fans, the team turns on its engine, that's why their support is very important.

Speaking about the coaching staff, we are fully prepared for this team. We have analyzed them as much as possible, we have given the team ideas, plans and information, we hope we have done our best so that the team prepares properly.
The only problem is that the opponent is a strong one, but I am sure they are of the same opinion about us. They have come here eager to succeed, so they will have to work hard. As for us, we will try not to let them win, because we really want to overcome this team.”
