In the 14th round of the Armenian First League, Pyunik Academy was received by Bentonit in Vanadzor.

In the first half, the home team managed to open the score. Moreover, during the scoring episode, our team’s goalkeeper Artur Petrosyan was able to repel Michael Ndidi’s shots twice, but Armen Kirakosyan sent the ball into the goal on the third attempt, 1-0.

After the break, the substitutes revived our team’s play. In the 55th minute, Artak Galstyan almost scored a goal against Bentonit with a free kick, but the ball was deflected off the horizontal goal post.

And minutes later, after Valeri Hambardzumyan’s pass and shot, the ball touched the vertical goal post and went out of the pitch.

In the 75th minute, Pyunik Academy managed to equalize the score. In a turmoil, Gevorg Vardanyan scored a goal.

In the added time of the game, our team was close to winning the game, but after Valeri Hambardzumyan’s shot, the ball hit the horizontal bar again. The match ended in a draw, 1-1.

Pyunik Academy will play their next game on November 10, hosting Van-2 at home.
