Ahead of the UEFA Conference League 2026/27 second qualifying round match against Hungarian side Debrecen, Pyunik head coach Artak Oseyan and goalkeeper Henri Avagyan held a pre-match press conference.

Henri Avagyan mentioned that both he and the entire team are in good shape and will try to return home with a positive result.

"We have prepared very well for this match. We know where we are. As always, Pyunik's goals remain high. We came here to show our best qualities and return home with a good result.

In my opinion, there is a significant difference when you play the first leg away and the return match at home. When you play the first match away, you can adjust your tactics to return home with a more favorable scoreline.

Of course, we managed to study the opponent's strengths and weaknesses, but I wouldn't like to go into detail about them. I can say that we are ready for tomorrow's match."

Artak Oseyan noted that, as after all matches, they analyzed the return fixture against Marsaxlokk, working to correct mistakes so they are not repeated in the future, and expressed hope that tomorrow's match will present a completely different picture.

"Debrecen is a high-caliber team with good quality players. Of course, difficult matches await us, but in my view, there is no favorite in this tie, and I assess the teams' chances as equal.

I think the fact that, unlike our opponent, Pyunik has already played two matches in the current Conference League campaign gives us a slight advantage, but it is unlikely to play a decisive role.

Our primary task is to recover quickly after the long journey. Taking all that into account, we arrived in Hungary two days before the match, and I hope that tomorrow we will be fully recovered."
