FC Pyunik has a new player: 26-year-old midfielder Daniel Aghbalyan has joined our team.

Daniel was born in the city of Stary Oskol, Belgorod Oblast, Russia, and it was there that he made his first steps in football. In 2018, he played for the Olympik team from Novaya Usman.

In the summer of 2019, Daniel Aghbalyan moved to Pyunik, but spent the first part of the season in the Ani team, which plays in the Armenian First League, then in January 2020 he continued performing for Pyunik-2. In June of the same year, Daniel made his debut in the main team of Pyunik, participating in 4 matches of the Armenian Premier League.

In July 2021, Aghbalyan moved to Armenian Premier League newcomer BKMA, where he spent the previous 4 seasons. In total, he participated in 129 matches for the army team, scoring 12 goals and providing 15 assists.

Daniel Aghbalyan was invited to the Armenia national team for the first time last month and made his debut for our national team in a friendly match against the Montenegro national team on June 9.
