Pyunik continues its not so successful performance in the beginning of the current Armenian Premier League.  In the previous matchday Pyunik suffered defeat from Noah, conceding 1-2 at home.

Last time our team had such an unlucky start in the 2017/2018 championship, when gained 3 points in the first matchdays and then lost 5 matches in a row.

In the match against Noah Artur Miranyan scored his 3rd goal in the current championship and caught up with Pyunik top scorers Artyom Simonyan and Denis Mahmudov who also have 3 scored goals each.

Our team will play its next match in the championship on upcoming Thursday hosting Vanadzor’s Lori in the suspended match of the first matchday. The match was delayed due to Pyunik’s performance in the Euro Cups.

It should be noted that the Vanadzor club was one of Pyunik’s most inconvenient rivals in the previous championship.

Of 4 played matches in 2 luck smiled on Lori, moreover, in both cases Lori had victory when being hosted and in the struggle for the cup tournament it was Vanadzor’s team that left our team out of the competition.

The match of the 4th round became especially fatal for Pyunik when our team became a victim of refereeing conspiracy being deprived of 2 points and thus losing the real chance of becoming a champion.

In the current championship the match against Lori will take place at Republican Stadium on September 26 and will kick off at 19:30.

Let us add that our team’s defender Kristi Marku who was sent off the pitch after two warnings in the match against Noah will miss the match against Lori because of a disqualification.
