In the 24^th match day of the Armenian Premier League Pyunik was received by Banants.

The beginning of the match became very unsuccessful for Pyunik. Already on the 3^rd minute Banants captain Vahagn Ayvazyan took by surprise Andrija Dragoevich with a kick from about 30 meters (1-0).

After the received goal our team was having a play and territorial advantage for 20-25 minutes creating several dangerous moments during that period. Our team posed the first serious threat near the opponent’s goal  on the 11^th minute when after a corner kick Vitali Stezhko tried to score but Banants goalkeeper Aram Hayrapetyan changed the direction of the ball with the finger tips saving his team.

Pyunik footballers Vyacheslav Dmitriev and Denis Talalay threatened twice the opponent’s goal with long-range kicks but in both cases Hayrapetyan was on his place.

Erik Vardanyan was very active in the left wing and tried to avoid Banants defenders with some deceiving tricks. But he couldn’t continue the match in the first half and was substituted.

The home team made its only dangerous kick after the scored goal on the 31^st minute when goal author Vahagn Ayvazyan’s long-range kick this time made no difficulty for Andrija Dragoevich.

Before the break our team could equalize the score but Usman’s kick, who had joined the match as a substitute, was weak and Aram Hayrapetyan possessed the ball without any problem.

The start of the second half distinguished with Pyunik’s attacks. Our footballers had two wonderful opportunities at the opponent’s goal but in one case Alik Arakelyan facing from the left wing Hayrapetyan struck the ball straight on him and Dmitriev’s close-distance goal was a little high.

Banants reacted with Kobzar’s long-distance goal that was aimed straight on Dragoevich and our team’s goalkeeper catched it.

On the 63^rd minute after Pyunik’s excellent attack Usman has a wonderful chance to equalize the match score but being in an advantageous position lingered, and Banants defenders managed to eliminate the threat.

After the missed opportunity Banants could immedietly punish our team but Evgeni Kobzar’s kick pssed by the goal.  

Soon Alik Arakelyan passed the ball to the Banants penalty area and it lacked only a second for Athur Miranyan to get it.

Our team’s Rumyan Hovsepyan who had come out as a substitute also had a good chance to equalize the score.On the 82^nd minute Pyunik had one more wonderful opportunity but after Rumyan Hovsepyan’s close-distance header Aram Hayrapetyan, who was on the ball in this match,   sent the ball to the corner with a swift jump saving Banants.

During the rest time of the game our team made every effort to save the match but the attacks didn’t reach their goals and in other moments Banants defenders acted reliably.

During the extra time Pyunik’s efforts finnaly gave their result: in the penalty area Rumyan Hovsepyan could orientate quickly  and equalized the score with a mighty kick, 1-1.

Thus, Pyunik having several goal chances finally managed to draw the game impeding Banants to move ahead in the standings.
